LCW Wales 2024 Official Charity Partner – Introducing Maggie’s

The team at LCW Wales is proud to announce Maggie’s Swansea as the new “Official Charity Partner” of LCW Wales in an exciting new deal.

Located at Singleton Hospital, Maggie's Swansea provides free practical, emotional, and social support to people with cancer, as well as their families and friends. The centre works in collaboration with conventional cancer therapies, offering a caring environment to provide support, information, and practical advice.  This includes financial and benefits advice, support with treatment decisions, and access to other cancer services.

In addition, Maggie's Swansea also provides nutrition workshops, complementary therapies, and other services.  The professional team at Maggie’s Swansea includes cancer support specialists, clinical psychologists, benefits advisors, and a dedicated fundraising team. Maggie’s receives no NHS funding and is reliant on fundraising support so that Maggie’s can provide support to anyone living with cancer.

All LCW charity partnerships focus on key, essential services with the community with well-being and mental health at the forefront of our offerings. Maggie’s fits these objectives perfectly and we are very excited to be working with them on this new partnership.

Whilst we aim to raise the profile of Maggie’s across Wales and particularly the West, the partnership also includes a range of entries that Maggie’s will be offering to selected fundraisers in order for them to raise vital funds.
